Campervans/Caravans 03/03/2008

CampervansSeparate fields for ticket holders to park campervans and caravans are available adjacent to the Festival site - within a couple of hundred yards from the fence. These designated areas of the site are the only places where ticket holders can sleep in vehicles

Tents! - Alison ('02)The Festival provides many, many fields for camping throughout the site - which adds much to the uniqueness of the event. Your ticket price includes access to the camping fields.

CarsThe roads from the rail station and around the site are narrow and largely unlit. Driving in the country is quite different from driving in an urban environment. Pedestrians have been knocked down near the Festival. Keep your speed down – that black bag lying at the side of the road may...

Every year we make a new website which, like the Festival, dies off and a new creation springs up on the ground where the old one left its seed. Often the information, maps and guidance that you seek is not finally settled until much nearer to the event. What happened in past years is a good guide as to what can be expected again this year, but nothing is certain ever to be repeated.

The old websites and Festival reviews can be a useful source of guidance as well as a place to find many stories, pictures and even a few short films, which may give an idea of what to expect at Glastonbury. You can access the archived sites at the following links:

They are often the first to print news items about the Festival. It can be worth checking past issues.

The Western Daily Press is the SW regional paper which also has early news - and usually runs a comprehensive preview of the Festival
