The unofficial Best View of the festival site, nothing sums up the quintessentially British seaside holiday destination quite like the Glastonbury on Sea Pier. The Victorian style Pier is an authentic traditional seafront. Brainchild of Glastonbury Festival resident artist and founder of The Mutoid Waste Company Joe Rush who designed the 60m-long Pier, modelled on a traditional British Victorian pier and art directed by Mr Wreckage International, also a Mutoid Waste Company member.
This year at Glastonbury on Sea, your favourites are returning plus some exciting new additions. On The Pier we have our stalwarts, the Kugler’s Robot House Band, Poulton’s Punch and Judy, Marisa Carnesky’s Fortune Tellers, Bingo Dick, Seaside Souvenirs and (star of BBC One’s The Repair Shop) the legendary Pinball Geoff’s Pinball Alley.
On the 1000 Farces stage on our Promenade, we are continuing our collaboration with London’s Cocoa Butter Club, showcasing, and celebrating the very best performers of colour in a twice daily cabaret show plus a host of brilliant bands and acts from 11am – 6pm every day.

New to the Pier in 2023 will be a Robot Barbershop and a Robotorium showcasing the robot building prowess of Giles Walker and Mr Wreckage International.
Join us at 2pm on Saturday for a Notting Hill Carnival takeover and at 9pm on Saturday night for a Notting Hill Carnival block party with one of their legendary sound systems.
And Glastonbury on Sea are excited to be working with the access team at the festival to create a ‘relaxed venue’ on Sunday morning from 9am – 1pm which will make the pier more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive. If you’re experiencing sensory overload or you have access requirements then please join us – we will reduce the capacity, turn the music down, provide BSL interpreters, audio description and generally provide a place you will feel comfortable – audio described tours will be at 11am on Friday / Saturday and Sunday – meeting place outside the merchandise shop opposite the entrance to the pier.
