Pilton Party pictures

Last modified: September 4, 2010

Last night, the 2010 Pilton Party was held in the village. The event is put on by the Glastonbury organisers to thank local residents for their help with the Festival. Funds raised from the Party are ploughed into local community projects – including the running costs of the Pilton Parish Hall, the Pilton Working Men’s Club and Pilton Playing Fields Association.

This year’s Party featured fantastic performances from Paolo Nutini, Stornoway and our 2010 Emerging Talent Competition winners Ellen and the Escapades. Our resident photographer, Jason Bryant, was there to take these pictures…

2011 tickets to go on sale on October 3rd

Last modified: September 1, 2010

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2011 will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, October 3rd, costing £195 (+ £5 booking fee and P&P).

You will be able to book up to 8 tickets per transaction by paying a £50 deposit per person, either online at www.seetickets.com/g2011 or on the booking line: 0844 412 4635. You will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom you are booking a ticket.

There will then be no further UK payments taken until the booking site re-opens on April 1st 2011, when you will have a week to pay your balance of £145 per ticket, and to book everything else you might need (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, insurance). To clarify – it will not be possible to pay for a ticket in full in October, when only deposits will be taken.

This extension to our deposit scheme will allow people more time to save for their tickets, knowing that they have a secured booking. It will also help the Festival to reduce costs, allowing us to give more to our joint charities.

Please note, the balance payment window for international buyers will be for one week from February 25th to March 3rd 2011.

Anyone who decides not to pay their balance in 2011 will be refunded their deposit, minus a £10 administration fee. Those tickets will then be put forward to a re-sale, which is likely to be in April or May 2011.

You will need to be registered to buy a ticket. To register to buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2011, click here. To check whether you’re already registered for next year, click here. If your address/name has changed since you registered, you can either register again or choose a different delivery address when you buy.
