Last night, the 2010 Pilton Party was held in the village. The event is put on by the Glastonbury organisers to thank local residents for their help with the Festival. Funds raised from the Party are ploughed into local community projects – including the running costs of the Pilton Parish Hall, the Pilton Working Men’s Club and Pilton Playing Fields Association.
This year’s Party featured fantastic performances from Paolo Nutini, Stornoway and our 2010 Emerging Talent Competition winners Ellen and the Escapades. Our resident photographer, Jason Bryant, was there to take these pictures…
We continue our series of seven short films about the Theatre and Circus field at this year’s Festival, with a look at Glebeland, the laid back field of theatre, music and dance where the festival-goers’ day kicks off.
Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2011 will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, October 3rd, costing £195 (+ £5 booking fee and P&P).
