Bjorn Again added to Extravaganza Bill
23rd April 2009
Michael Eavis has finalised the line-up for the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, announcing Bjorn Again as the act supporting Status Quo on Saturday 8th August. As Michael said, “This will be a tremendous combination – everybody loves the Quo, and the whole world is singing along to Mamma Mia. It will be a great party night out for people of all ages.”
Bjorn Again was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne and is the brainchild of bass player Rod Stephen. His show has achieved worldwide cult status, employing session singers and musicians from Britain, Europe and North America, with the production having grossed over £40 Million from 4,000 performances in 60 countries in 20 years. This widely acclaimed production has been recently endorsed by Abba. Vocalist Agnetha Faltskog enthused, "It was a great show. I loved the choreography… it was very true to life”.
The Extravaganza comprises two outside concerts, in the beautiful grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. Tickets are still available for both – the Status Quo and Bjorn Again concert on Saturday August 8th and The RPO concert on Sunday 9th August.
