This post is more than
Calling all poets, bards, rappers, spoken word artists and versifiers...
22nd February 2011
The people who run Glastonbury’s wonderful Poetry&Words tent are now taking applications for performers at this year’s Festival.
If you are an experienced writer and performer, then please drop them a line. As ever, they are looking to showcase a wide range of voices from a variety of different backgrounds and poetic styles. (They are looking for top quality performers, not those who have just penned a few limericks or dabbled in a couple of open mics.)
To give you an idea of what they are after, the tent’s 2010 line-up bill featured John Hegley, Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze, Dizraeli and The Small Gods, Attila the Stockbroker, Luke Wright and many other talented folk.
To apply, please e-mail poetryandwords@hotmail.co.uk, with a copy of your artistic C.V. and a link to audio and/or visual recordings of your work. If you wish to apply by post, please e-mail us to request our postal address.
Closing date: Midnight on Sunday 6th March 2011. Applications will not be considered if received after this date.
