ETC 2014 update

Following January’s week-long entry period, the thousands of acts who entered this year’s Emerging Talent Competition were divided into playlists and sent to our panel of the UK’s top online music writers for the first round of judging.

Each judge will pick their three favourite artists to make up the longlist. That longlist will then be whittled down to a shortlist of eight artists by judges including Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis. The shortlist will be announced at the beginning of March, with the live finals taking place in Pilton in April to decide the winning act, who will win a slot on one of the Festival’s main stages.
