George Ezra added to Extravaganza bill
15th July 2014
We’re pleased to announce that Bristol-based singer-songwriter George Ezra will support Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters at this year’s Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, on Saturday, August 9th. Folk-rock four-piece Wildflowers will open the show.
Ezra, who headlined the BBC Introducing Stage and performed a set on the John Peel Stage at this year’s Festival, said: “I had an amazing time at Glastonbury Festival last month. I think that was the biggest crowd I’ve ever played for. I can’t wait to come back to the town and play at the abbey. It’s a real honour to be supporting a legend like Robert Plant.”
Michael Eavis said: “George Ezra is the West Country hero of the moment! He played a fantastic set at the Festival this year and is bound to be a big hit at the Abbey. A perfect support act for Robert Plant.”
The Extravaganza takes place in the spectacular grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. Advance ticket prices are £35 adult and £20 for an accompanied child aged six to 16. Tickets can be booked online here or in person at the Abbey Shop.
