We’re pleased to announce details of the free camping which will be available to those attending this year’s Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, allowing concert goers to enjoy a weekend in the ancient market town, with its famous Tor, beautiful Abbey and wide range of shops and cafés.
The Extravaganza, which is in its 19th year, will see Ray Davies, Joan Armatrading and The Shires performing at Glastonbury Abbey on Saturday, August 8th for the traditional summer evening which ends with a spectacular firework display.
Said Michael Eavis: “It will make a perfect weekend – the site we have earmarked is a lovely setting, in the shadows of the Tor in which to camp before attending what will be a fabulous concert with wonderful music.”
A bus will take Extravaganza-goers to the Abbey and back for the concert. The campsite will have security and toilet facilities and will be available from 10am on Friday August 7 until 12noon on Monday August 10. Parking will be available at the campsite.
Bookings for the campsite will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Once you’ve booked your Extravaganza ticket, please email extravaganza@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk with details of the number of ticket holders, tents and vehicles that you’d like to book for. You will then be contacted with more details.
Advance Glastonbury Extravaganza tickets cost £35 for adults and £20 for children aged five to 15 and are available from the abbey shop or online at www.glastonburyabbey.com/extravaganza2015.
