Worthy View 2014 FAQs

Since our Worthy View pre-erected camping went on sale on Monday, we’ve received some questions from those who have booked, as well as from those who still are thinking about doing so (be quick, though, only 4 person scout tents are still available). So we’ve put together the following Frequently Asked Questions:
The Yurt / Podpad / Cloudhouse I wanted to book is showing as unavailable, will there be any more?
Sorry, those options are now sold out. We don’t expect to have any more available, other than when an existing booking is cancelled. Any cancellations will automatically go back on sale on the booking site (where you can also still book our new 4 person scout tents) so it may be worth keeping an eye on that.
I booked a tent and forgot to add a car park ticket, can I still buy one?
Yes. If you made a booking and haven’t yet ordered a car park ticket, then please contact See Tickets customer services to add one to you order. Please note there is a limit on the number of car park tickets allowed per group, as this car park is only available to residents of Worthy View.
I’ve booked a 2 person scout tent, is it OK to share it between 3 people?
Only if the third person is a child. The capacity of the 2 person scout tent is two adults, but they can accommodate one additional child aged 12 or under (when the Festival gates open on Wednesday 25th June, 2014) with their parents/guardians. One child is also allowed beyond the 4 person tent capacity. Similarly, two children aged 12 or under are permitted in addition to the maximum adult capacity in a 6 or 8 person tent.
How far is Worthy View from the Festival site?
The campsite is approximately 250 metres up the (steep) hill from Pennard Hill Gate, which is at the top of the stone circle field.
If I can’t go, can my friend use my tent booking, or can I get a refund?
Tent bookings are not transferable, but they are refundable up to May 9th, less a £15 admin fee per unit.
My friend has also booked accomodation at Worthy View, can we be next to each other?
We can only accommodate group requests for scout tents, for those who are in the same sized accommodation and who used the ‘Group Name’ facility at the point of booking (for example, with the whole party in 2 person scout tents and all using the Group Name ‘Carnival’). Where possible the Festival will endeavour to meet requests for friends and family groups to be located together as long as the booking is for the same accommodation type, however this service cannot be guaranteed. Different types of tent, even on the same booking, can not be grouped together.
Will there still be a chance to book tipis and caravan pitches on the Festival site?
Yes, campervan pitches and on site tipis will be on sale with ticket balances as normal.
Can I bring another tent/campervan/gazebo with me?
No, only the pre-erected camping facilities provided by the Festival are permitted on the Worthy View campsite. Any unauthorised tents and gazebos will be taken down and confiscated. Campervans and caravans are not permitted at Worthy View. If you would like to bring a campervan or caravan to the Festival, then please book a ticket for the campervan fields when they go on sale in April.
Am I allowed to bring a fire pit/stove for my yurt/tipi/bell tent?
No stoves or fires are permitted inside the tents. Open fires are also not permitted at Worthy View, apart from the communal campfire supervised by the organisers. Small barbecues can be used, but they must be a safe distance away from any tents or other structures (and should never be brought inside the accommodation, even when they appear to have gone out).
Does the Worthy View accommodation come with any beds/bedding/furnishings?
Canvas accommodation (scout tents, yurts, bell tents, tipi tents and Cloudhouses) does not include beds or bedding, so you will need to bring these with you. Podpads, Bunkpads and Octopads do include beds and air mattresses, so you will only need to bring your bedding. Please take all your bedding home with you.
Will there be toilets and showers at Worthy View?
Yes, showers and toilets will be provided. The showers will operate at pre-allocated times in the morning and afternoon, which will be published ahead of the Festival.
Can we take our accommodation home at the end of the Festival?
No, as you are renting the accommodation. All the units will be packed up and used again next year. But we would very much encourage you to take all of your own belongings home.
How far is the car park from the campsite?
The car park is in the field directly adjacent to the camping field.
I am arriving at the Festival by bus, how do I get to Worthy View?
At the festival bus station, by Pedestrian Gate A, there will be a sign for the Worthy View shuttle bus. Queue up and jump on this and it will take you directly to Worthy View. There will also be a shuttle bus for return journeys on Sunday and Monday. We will be emailing you with a questionnaire closer to the Festival in order to get a better picture of when everyone will be turning up by public transport so that we can organise the shuttle bus to meet demand.
