Joint Charities

Your support means the world

By purchasing a ticket to Glastonbury Festival, or directly donating to the Joint Charities, you are supporting the work that they do alongside communities to positively change lives and respond to some of the most pressing humanitarian crises that are happening around the world today. Your generosity is also funding a movement of people defending the natural world who are campaigning for a green and peaceful future. The Festival continues to support the three charities in many ways and by purchasing a ticket to the Festival, you help contribute to their vital work. For that Oxfam, Greenpeace and WaterAid thank you.

Read below to find out about some of the Joint Charities do thanks to your help and the support of Glastonbury Festival.

Oxfam

Oxfam is a global movement of people who believe in a kinder and radically better world where everyone can thrive, not just survive. We believe poverty isn’t inevitable; it’s fuelled by injustices and inequalities that we can – and must – overcome. Together with more than 1,000 local partners, we address the root causes of poverty through advocacy and campaigning for fair wages, access to education, healthcare, and basic rights – empowering people everywhere to shape their own futures.

In times of humanitarian crisis, we provide essentials like food, water, and shelter, while helping communities build resilience to future challenges such as climate change and economic instability. We work toward a vision of justice and regeneration, believing deeply in the principle that there is no ‘them’, just ‘us’. Together, we can build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and where our systems support a life of dignity, equality, and hope for all.

When you buy a Glastonbury ticket or donate to us, you are fuelling our fight for a better, fairer world. Together, we can create lasting change.

The Sowing Diversity = Harvesting Security (SDHS) project helps smallholder farmers adapt to changing climatic conditions by developing seed varieties of climate-resilient crops and varieties whilst improving food and nutrition security.

Greenpeace

Greenpeace is a global movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction.

Our mission is to halve emissions and restore biodiversity by the end of this decade, in a fair and equitable way.
We campaign to ensure everyone has equal access to clean air, water, and energy; where the nature we love is protected, precious habitats are restored and communities are united by ambitious climate action. We do this by working with allies, investigating, documenting and exposing the causes of environmental destruction. We work to bring about change by lobbying, consumer pressure and mobilising members of the general public. And we take peaceful direct action to protect our Earth and promote solutions for a green and peaceful future.

We are independent. We don’t accept any funding from governments, corporations or political parties – our work is solely funded by people like you. That means we are free to confront the governments and corporations responsible for the destruction of the natural world, and push for real change.

By purchasing a ticket, donating or visiting us at Glastonbury in the Greenpeace field, you are joining us on a journey to confront the world’s biggest polluters, asking them to halve emissions and, with you by our side, we’ll continue to defend the natural world and restore biodiversity for the next generation in a fair and equitable way.

WaterAid

WaterAid is an international charity with one goal: to change the world through water.

We all need clean water. It is the foundation for good health and a life full of opportunity. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, clean water means people can break free from poverty and build the lives they want, with dignity. Babies are born healthier. Children grow up stronger. Women and girls spend less time collecting water and more time in work or school. Adults get to earn a living. Whole communities thrive and are better prepared for our changing climate and whatever the future holds. Change starts with water.

We work alongside communities worldwide setting up the systems that deliver clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene. This is about taps, toilets and so much more. We get the people, policies and money in place that keeps the water flowing for good so that people have safe, reliable services that last.

Our work with communities, partners and supporters like you has already meant millions of people can shape their own future with dignity and confidence. We’re driving lasting change on a global scale – faster than ever – working towards the day when we are no longer needed.

When you purchase a Glastonbury Festival ticket or donate, you’re providing us with flexible funding – a vital way for us to allocate money where it’s needed most and where we can have the most impact. Only by working together can we make sure everyone has the water they need.

With your support, we will change the world through water.
