Block 9

Block9 are London-based artists, Gideon Berger and Stephen Gallagher, producing ground-breaking, multi-disciplinary artworks and installations. Every year, an otherwise tranquil corner of Worthy Farm is transformed into a ‘temporary alternative reality’, an eye-popping wonderland of huge art installations, underground music and alternative performance.

In 2024, Block9 saw the long-awaited return of brutalist towering, concrete and glass behemoth, Genosys. Created to explore the birth of analogue electronic music and its lasting legacy, Genosys featured music and performance from legendary pioneers alongside fresh new talent.

IICON, the immersive audio-visual arena in the form of a colossal, anonymised head, returned for its 4th year.

The NYC Downlow, a multi-roomed temporary club space housed inside a life-size, film set replica of a New York meatpacking warehouse circa 1982 hosted its inaugural Downlow Day Party. Whilst hidden at the back, The Meat Rack, doubled in size.

Block9 also teamed up with activist and fashion designer, Katharine Hamnett to encourage people to vote.
